ASUU has Embraced the tree

By Hassan Berende

ASUU has Embraced the tree

Again! like an aggressive thunderstorm

A new moon has been sighted

And a strike as been birth to stay a month

With a hyperbole of Comprehensiveness

that might keep on rolling  "Till God knows when"

Mouth so wide, Shaped with dejection

After Clamours upon clamouring

To the hearing of the "Aso", that Rock our nation

"Unburdened us of the shackles of IppIs!"

"Shower on us the rain of allowances you withheld so mean!"

"Mend your shoes and see to the demand we place on your deck"

These are a few of many of what ASUUs drum sings

That seems to those on top a Cacophony

With us (student) under the feet of two combating Elephant

Like bittered orphans, we weep our eye to tears

In a Nation were Edu, worth no more than a toothpick

Four years of our contract metamorphosing to six years and still "Rolling"

We are no were on the list

that top the world best list

When it comes to Edu

We are still at our cradle

Ho! GovAsu

Cast unto us, your pity eyes

And facilitate what is required

And remember the martyrs

Let not their labour be in vain

Sit in circle

And dish out peace to a progressive covenant

That will see to the priority of our cries.
