The president of National Association of Social Science Students, Comrade Umar J. Umar has emerged the Secretary General for Forum of Faculty Presidents (FFP), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The president made this known recently while interacting with the executive members of the association at the Association's social media platform.
He said the association of Faculty Presidents is formed to harmonize all the Faculties in Ahmadu Bello University in order to effectively communicate the activities of each Faculty to the central students' union (SRC) and the school management, thereby fostering unity among the students in the nooks and crannies of the University.
"I want to bring to your notice that we have a forum of faculty presidents. A forum established to foster cordial relationships among the faculty associations. Also, a forum where we come together as one to speak for our respective faculty students to the SRC and the Schools Management.
"An election was conducted for the leadership of the forum and yours sincerely (myself) emerged as the general secretary of the forum."
Comrade Umar added that the task of the leadership of every students' association is nothing less than good representation, saying the well-being of the students under his administration is non negotiable.
He thanked the members of Forum of Faculty Presidents for entrusting him with the tasks of Secretary General for the association, while pledging his readiness for effective service delivery that will bring about good representation of the students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
On their part, the executive members of NASSS, on behalf of the entire students, management and staff of Faculty of Social Sciences congratulated the president on his new role, while wishing him a successful tenure in his service to the students of social sciences in particular and Ahmadu Bello University in general.
