The executives of the Ahmadu Bello University Campus Press, on Monday, August 1, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to lecturers in the Department of Mass Communication to express appreciation for their support towards the growth of the press.
The visit began at the office of Professor Maryam, where the team expressed gratitude for her contributions towards the success of the ABU Campus Press maiden symposium. She was presented with an award in recognition of her support.

The delegation then proceeded to the office of Professor Cosmos I. Eze, where the team introduced themselves and explained the purpose of their visit. The President of the Campus Press, Ibrahim Abdulsalam, briefed him on the maiden Campus Press Symposium held on August 30, 2025. Professor Ezeh was also informed that the press body has now been fully registered with the university authorities. In addition, he was asked to present the Best Reporter of the Year 2024 Award to Amina Ismaila. The award was sponsored by the first president and co-founder of the club, Mr. Ishaq Bilal.
The executives later visited Professor Jimoh Ibrahim, thanked him for his support, and presented him with an award in recognition of his immense contributions as a patron of the press. He was also asked to present the Best Reporter of the Year Award to Hajara Ometere. Professor Jimoh, while appreciating the gesture, offered guidance that will elevate the Campus Press to greater heights.
The visit concluded at the office of the Head of Department, Dr. Adama Adamu, where the team held an extensive discussion on the activities of the Campus Press and its plans for the next academic session. Dr. Adama offered valuable advice on ways to strengthen the administration. She also received an award of recognition and was asked to present one to the outgoing ABU Campus Press President, Ibrahim Abdulsalam Olasunkanmi.
All the awards presented during the visitation were sponsored by the co-founder and pioneer president of the ABU Campus Press, Mr. Ishaq Bilal.
In addition, the ABU Campus Press presented certificates of sponsorship to two students, Adebiyi Abdullahi and Aisha Imran, for their support towards the maiden symposium.
The symposium itself, held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, was a success thanks to the collective support of past and present executives, lecturers of the Department of Mass Communication, the keynote speaker Dr. Musa Alhassan, the panelists — Dr. Murjanatu Abba, Mr. Usman Katun, Mr. Abdullahi Haruna (Haruspice), Mr. Makinde Adeniran, and Malama Amina Aminu — as well as participants who joined both physically and virtually.
