In a harrowing incident early Monday morning, a trailer collided with a Hummer Bumper Bus at the Dogo Iche Area of Samaru, Zaria, leaving passengers shaken but fortunate to escape with minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses recounted the scene as the hummer bumper bus, en route to Sokoto, collided with a trailer from the Railway area of Samaru due to reckless driving.
"The road here is not well-constructed and will pose a danger to motorists", said a mechanic who was at the scene of the event. "I was discussing with the guard man about the road's condition when suddenly, the trailer appeared from the railway route, heading towards Kaduna road on the wrong path. It collided with the hummer bumper bus, causing a huge damage to the front of the vehicle. Thankfully, God saved the passengers and the driver as they narrowly escaped."
Despite the fortunate outcome, the incident left some passengers with minor bruises. The mechanic also stated that prior to the collision, two cars almost collided with each other due to the trailer approaching from the wrong route.
As of the time of this report, the hummer bumper bus remains at the scene, drawing concern from onlookers and authorities alike.
