The keynote speaker, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, delivered a lecture on the topic, “Agriculture and Food Security: A Path to Economic Growth and Climate Resilience in Nigeria.”
In his speech, Alhaji Mu’azu emphasized the great potential of agriculture to create opportunities for people, particularly graduating students. He urged them to seize any available opportunities, noting the scarcity of jobs in the country.
He went further to criticize the distribution of fertilizers to non-farmers, which he described as a mismanagement of resources that adversely affects real farmers. He called on the youth to support government efforts in addressing such issues through legal means and appealed to leaders to prioritize serious, large-scale farming initiatives.
