The ABU Campus Press Walk Campaign 2.0 kicked off today, bringing together students and other faculty members to promote awareness on online safety and sensitization on better digital behavior.
The Campus walk featured participants bearing meaningful placards with messages highlighting the importance of accurate information, digital safety, and responsible online behavior.
In attendance was the first president of the ABU Campus Press President, MC Bilal, who delivered an inspiring speech that urged everyone to be proactive dedicated in championing safe online practices. He also offered words of encouragement to students across various levels.
Executive members of the press, including Afeez Abisoye and Fatima Zakarriya, among others also shared their thoughts during the walk. Afeez Abisoye recommended some documentaries on social networking and social dynamics, encouraging participants to learn more about the impact of social media on society. Fatima Zakarriya who led the campaign walk appealed for everyone to be proactive as regards data protection.
The campus walk which passed through major places and busy spots on campus, aimed to educate students on the importance of online safety and promote a positive digital culture within the university community.
This campaign walk is one of the many impactful activities The ABU Campus Press (ACP) organizes, so as to empower the ABU student body and staff to become more mindful of their online actions and promote responsible online behavior.
