The School of Basic and Remedial Studies, SBRS Funtua, has introduced an Online Remedial Programme to expand access to pre-degree education for prospective ABU students.

This was contained in an Ahmadu Bello University Special Bulletin released on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and signed by Dr. Sanusi Gambo, Director of SBRS Funtua.

According to the bulletin, candidates seeking admission into ABU Zaria can now choose between the conventional on-campus mode and the new online mode. The online option allows students to study remotely.

The programme will operate a hybrid structure: lectures will be delivered 100% online through the school’s Learning Management System, while practical sessions and examinations will be conducted physically at designated centres based on students’ locations.

The programme will run for nine months. Candidates who complete it and meet the minimum admission requirements will be eligible for admission into various undergraduate degree programmes at ABU Zaria.

Sale of admission forms for the online track will commence in July 2026. The programme will begin in the 2026/2027 academic session

Management urged suitably qualified candidates to take advantage of the flexible learning opportunity.
