Dr Aminu Mohammed Abdullahi, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Ahmadu Bello University, has been nominated as an external member of the editorial board of Leadership newspaper.
The nomination was announced in a letter dated Sept 7, 2026, from Leadership Group Limited.
The company said the board is responsible for providing informed commentaries on topical issues to mould policy at local and international levels.
According to the letter, Dr Aminu is expected to advise on editorial policy, review editorials and opinion articles, attend board meetings, contribute guest editorials, expand the paper's network of contributors, maintain confidentiality, and support the chairman and editor-in-chief.
Students and staff of the Department of Mass Communication, Ahmadu Bello University, and ABU Campus Press have congratulated Dr Aminu on the nomination.
