ABU SRC Rolls Out First-Aid Boxes for Hostels, Podiums for Faculties, Restroom for Secretariat

The President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students' Representative Council (ABU SRC), Comr. Abdurrahman Halliru Saraki, has commissioned a series of infrastructure projects and donated welfare items across the university's campuses.

The unveiling ceremony held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Sahalu B. Junaid, staff of the Student Affairs Division, members of the ABU SRC Executive Council and the Presidential Council.

According to a statement by the Director of Media and Publicity, Abdulrazak Shuaibu, the projects are aimed at improving students' daily life, emergency health response and learning facilities.

The projects include the provision of customized reading and lecture podiums across all faculties and the reconstruction of the ABU SRC Secretariat billboard.

For hostel welfare, the Council distributed fully equipped first-aid boxes to halls of residence and provided dustbins, window curtains, mirrors, light bulbs and clotheslines.

The Council also completed modern restroom facilities at the ABU SRC Secretariat.

Shuaibu said the Council appreciates the university management, the Student Affairs Division led by Prof. Junaid and all student representatives who contributed to the successful execution of the projects.
