NASSS President Appoints 20 Officers to Lead Association

The President of the National Association of Social Sciences Students (NASSS), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Abubakar Basiru, has announced the first set of appointments for his administration.

The appointments were contained in an official notice issued from the Office of the President on October 3, 2026.

In the notice, Abubakar said the appointments were made after consultations and were based on competence and willingness to serve. He said the list cuts across departments in the faculty.

According to him, the new officers are expected to support the leadership of the association and ensure its activities run smoothly.

He urged the appointees to uphold the trust placed in them and put students' interests first.

The appointees are:

2. Abdullahi Oyewumi Abdullrahim - Academic Director, Sociology

3. Abdulaziz Aliyu Hussaini - Director of Workshop and Orientation Series, Mass Communication

4. Mohammed Ummusalma Ejeh - Director, NASSS Public Sphere, International Studies

5. Abdullahi Adam Usman - Director of Students Mentorship, Political Science

6. Solomon Ameh Ojonugawa - Business Director, Economics

7. Hanan Abdulmalik - Special Assistant on Partnerships and Opportunities, Mass Communication

8. Abdulkareem Adamu - Special Assistant on Monitoring and Evaluation, Political Science

9. Meshak Kyenshak Kefas - Legal Adviser, Mass Communication
