Indeed, many have something reasonable in mind to say but the fear of saying it out often hunts them. Similarly, most students many a time find this challenging whenever they are to contribute to their class discussion. Thus, they become dumbstruck.
This has also posed a great challenge to the youths at large considering the tremendous impediments Glossophobia has posed to our society.
Glossophobia
is the phobia or fear that discourages or hinders someone from speaking in
public. This act is pervasive among almost all learners across the globe
whereby students could not voice out their emotions or view about something.
Meanwhile, they may have something important in mind which if they express, may
give a solution to the subject matter. This however displeases them if someone
else says something that is similar to that and was retributed or given the
question as an assignment.
It is actually depriving most students of their entitlements as long as they could not air out their desires or thoughts. It’s really a great bedeviling vice that needs to be eradicated.
Similarly, the weakness had really hindered the success of many students who are not accustomed to speaking in public. This is common among students of high institutions whose prerequisites of being certified are presentations and project defense. Hence, a great disadvantage to those not putting it into practice and vice-versa.
However, many are keen to imbibe the act of public speaking but the fear of being mocked or nicknamed if they commit grammatical balderdash or error is refraining most from showing their ability. They forget the notion of "If you are afraid of making mistake, you will not make any right." Public speaking is not inborn which you are tender to be acrimonious at first practical. Some may actually be more talented than others but "Practice propels perfection"
Glossophobia
can be attributed to the environmental, educational background as well as one's
sensitivity to people's sayings which will surely inhibit one's success. The
trio is the crux of factors that hinder public speech potential in most
students as they do not pay attention to it since there is no motivation within
their reach.
We
can curtail the stubborn monster by overlooking people's mocking, engaging in a peaceful and cordial argument with our friends on topics of importance, asking
questions to unveil your confusion, and as well as developing your potential by
reading extensively.
Similarly,
considering the nature of the concept, we are living things while it is abstract.
My fellow students why couldn't we destroy it since we are far more powerful than
it.
Definitely, by taking the above into account, the fear of public speaking will be eradicated and there will be a maximal manifestation of outspokenness.
