The Tiring Era: Bad Eggs In Government Worsen Situation

By Oluwaseun Tijani

It is no news that since the inception of the re-election of Buhari's administration, most Nigerians have expressed their utmost feeling towards the tactless administration as demoralizing and unproductive.

The hike in the country, especially in the aspect of commodity purchase, has been attributed to Buhari's leadership with the blame that his way of governing so far has yielded zero productivity.

Some even decry that his tenure has failed in finding a way for repayment of debt but rather indulge in another deficit.

Several news stories covering cases of kidnap, ethnic clash, massacre, etc have flaunted the pace at which insecurity is at its peak in our dear country.

Corruption amongst government officials, with politicians as the exec of such act, has not only left the people in incredulity; that the one time Buhari administration clamored for to revitalize the country and put an end to corruption could do otherwise, but made them lose hope in his coalition.

With a rampant number of people dying each day due to aggravating suffering, the blame continues to be on our dear president for not acting up as promised. Nothing has been spoken of about our dear president, except that he is not the cause of the whole predicament which remains untouched by the masses.

In light of this, I would say that the corrupt minds in power keep undermining the effort of our President as well as other assiduous representatives, by even sponsoring insecurities, cutting off any opportunity that can amass good life to the populace.

With widespread recognition, the past years of his leadership are indeed tiring. Not because of his re-election or so, but due to the bad eggs in politics.

The bad eggs, yes the bad eggs, making every good work static; superiority is what they keep chasing, making the efforts of the abled ones futile.

It's visible that the insecurity is sponsored by this corrupt-minded faculty.

According to Ibrahim Babangida, an army general, he said: "Any insurgency that lasts for more than 24hours in Nigeria, we should know that the government is behind it".

In essence, there are some bad eggs in power, occupying a political seat in the name of representing and having our interest at heart but acting otherwise.

I think the whole assembly needs to be rescheduled, revitalized, and restructured, cause speaking on the provision of security aside from God who protects, Nigerian armed forces to me, are one of the best in the world today. What they need is enough modern and original weapons backed up with a genuine Go-ahead to stop insecurity.

Concerning the issue of food hikes, we stand to be one of the world's most blessed in terms of agriculture. Our agricultural produce is enough, we need full mentorship, support, encouragement, and proper enlightenment to energize farmers as well as enough security to enable them to carry out their farming effectively.

We need a government full of like-minded people, patriotic personnel.

People who can invest in talents, education and put in place measures to make the country a better place.
We need such a think-tank in power but first, we have to eliminate the bad eggs so that the good ones can properly and conveniently implement their plans.

You and I can make a change, yes we can vote out the bad eggs and sit to make a proper choice.
Let's be vigilant, through their messages, actions, decision, we shall know them.

Remember, we are the Giant of Africa for a reason, let's make a change by replacing these bad eggs with better ones coming to the 2023 election and stop making this country tiring!

Yes, we can stop this menace.
