The Council led by elder statesman and Wazirin Fika, Malam Adamu Fika (GCON), was also encouraged to take over and continue from where the immediate past members of the Council stopped and even perform better than their predecessors. Both Prof. Abubakar and Pharm. Equally in her brief remarks, Pharm. The Chairman of the Council, Malam Adamu Fika, ably represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, explained that it was an established tradition in the University to organise a sendforth for outgoing members of the University Governing Council.
