ABU STUDENTS’ ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLUB CALLS FOR MEMBERSHIP

The Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Students’ Entrepreneurship Club (ABUSEC) is calling for membership into the club for the year 2022. The online enrollment which is to be done through the registration link forms.gle/3qyqfBNgLsfFDQwk9  is scheduled to end on the 1st of March, 2022

The Club which has existed since 2019 aim to orient the students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria on entrepreneurship, in order to enable them develop entrepreneurial instincts and ideas which will enable them become job creators and not necessarily job seekers.

The Chairman of the Club, Abdulmuhaimin Bakale made this known in an interview with ABU Campus Press where he said the club through mentorship programs and trainings will help develop entrepreneurial ideas which students can implement when they graduate from the institution.

“Members are exposed to mentorship programs and trainings to equip them to have a strong functional or developed entrepreneurship mindset, so that when they go out from the University, they will be job creators and not job seekers”, Abdulmuhaimin said.

The club is however affiliated to several agencies including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), National Directorate of Employment (NDE), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), National Raw Material and Development Council (NRMDC), National Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (NDIEC) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Interested student are required to register through the registration link on or before the first day of March, 2022.
