Ahmadu Bello university (ABU) students affairs team conducted a sensitization program to educate students on the importance of security on February 17, 2025 at the hostels of Ahmadu Bello university, Zaria.
The program which was graced by student residing in the hostel and security officials, aimed to raise awareness about the role of students in maintaining a secure campus environment.
The program included an address from a representative of the institutions security. “Without security a student cannot learn” The representative of the school’s security had stated. “We cannot do this job alone; we need your cooperation” he added.
His speech also included tips on safety, as well as encouragement for students to report any security concerns or issues to the authorities. The program ended with a question-and-answer session during which various security concerns were raised.
The sensitization program shows the goodwill and commitment the ABU students affairs team and security officials have towards maintaining a safe and secure campus environment.
