ABU Campus Press Secures Partnership During Courtesy Visit to UK Umar

The leadership of the Ahmadu Bello University Campus Press (ACP) leadership paid a courtesy visit to media strategist UK Umar on October 26, presenting him with an Award of appreciation in recognition of his contribution to campus journalism.

During the visit, Umar received his award, and also accepted another on behalf of media professional Haruna Abdullahi (Harouspice). The ACP also acknowledged Mr. Makindele and Mr. Aliyu Ibrahim for their continued support to the organization.

Umar expressed deep appreciation, noting the sentimental value of receiving his first-ever award from the ABU Campus Press. He commended and encouraged the ACP members to stay committed to learning and real-life journalistic practice beyond the classroom.

The meeting wrapped up with a pledge of partnership and support from Umar and his colleagues, who assured ACP of assistance in mentorship, capacity-building, and financial support whenever possible.

The ACP delegation was led by the organization’s President Abdusalam Abdullahi, alongside members Hajara Abdullahi and Amina Ismaila.
