The administration of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has announced an important recognition ceremony, where a total of 123 staff members from the different faculties, centers, and units will be honored for their exceptional performance.
This recognition is designed to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and commitment of staff across the university community. The recognition also celebrates and appreciates their contributions to academic success, and to the growth and development of the institution.
Among the staff members to be recognized is Dr. Adama Adamu, the Head of the Mass Communication department. Dr. Adama, who was recently re-elected to serve her second and final two-year term as the Head of the department, is undoubtedly deserving of this recognition, as this recognition acknowledges that she has been doing something right, and for it coming at a time when she just got re-elected.
The recognition acknowledges her effort and hard work in the following ways: First, she is recognized as the Grant Fellow of the Year, as the best-performing H.O.D. in the faculty, and as one of the top three best-performing female H.O.D. at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Dr. Adama’s work and commitment to the Department of Mass Communication and the Faculty of Social Sciences cannot go unnoticed. From her hosting the first international conference the department has ever seen, to organizing two remarkable webinars in the department and being able to expand the department’s reach internationally, not to mention the much work she has been putting in, is worthy of recognition.
This recognition is a testament to her good work, dedication, influence, and impact in putting the department on the map, and to see that the set goals of the department are achieved. This acknowledgment cannot overly emphasize the good work she’s been putting in.
The management of Ahmadu Bello University's honoring of staff members is a good initiative. It is a momentous occasion that celebrates the achievements of outstanding staff members and encourages them to keep up the good work, which will, in turn, bring more growth to the university.
